BODY PIERCING AFTERCARE

Use any of the following solutions for your new body piercing:

A mild fragrance-free liquid soap preferably anti-microbial or germicidal, packaged sterile solution with no additives (read the label), H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare or a Non-Iodized Sea Salt mixture: Dissolve 1 teaspoon of non-iodized (iodine-free) sea salt into a (12oz) cup of warm distilled or purified water. A stronger solution is not better

Use a mild liquid soap no more than once or twice a day. Showers tend to be safer than taking baths as bathtubs can harbor bacteria. While showering leave the soap on the piercing no more than 30 seconds, then clean and rinse off your new piercing thoroughly to remove all traces of the soap from the piercing

While cleaning your new piercing it is not necessary to rotate or move the jewelry back and forth

Dry your piercing by gently patting it dry with a clean disposable paper towel, clothe towels can harbor bacteria and snag on jewelry causing injury

Soak with a sea salt solution for 5 minutes once or twice a day. Invert a cup of warm sea salt solution over the area to form a vacuum. For certain piercing it may be easier to spray H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare on to a gauze pad, paper towel or a Q-tip saturated with the H2Ocean Piercing Aftercare solution

Jewelry should be left in for about 4 to 6 weeks before you can take it out and downsize to a smaller and tighter fitting jewelry.
